They are such great tools, they make dreams come true without having to either play the instruments or spend money by hiring others (to spend the money for you). Analog usually makes things sound warmer. That's the reason why some people go back to playing vinyls, for that sound quality. Also, with live musicians, nobody is perfect, so instruments might be playing a bit behind or ahead of the beat or the dynamics of the each note are ever so slightly different; the humanness of the music also draw people in.
I prefer analog over digital usually, but I do love my electronic music too. Radiohead's later work really showed how to blend analog with digital.
