What is the difference between say, a plain Casio keyboard and a Casio workstation keyboard?
I am so confused..please help! Which is better for someone into music?
Answer:
A regular Casio keyboard will have built in sounds, and possibly built in speakers. A workstation is meant to be a Midi controller, for use with other rack mounted synths and you'll more than likely need to get separate speakers. get a workstation if you are into sequencing.

Here is Yamaha PSR S910 Arranger Workstation Keyboard review. This keyboard is very strong in terms of its sound quality and has a huge palette of sounds, the sounds being based on the Tyros engine. In terms of professional arrangers from Yamaha, the only other expensive arranger is the psr-s910.
Overall, the Yamaha PSR S910 arranger keyboard will be appreciated by performers because of its strong collection of excellent digitally sampled voices. The PSR S910 keyboard gives you 128 notes polyphony, which is good enough to play most complex musical arrangements and harmonies. You just have to concentrate on your playing without having to worry about the notes dropping off.
The many features, as mentioned next, on the Yamaha PSR S910 keyboard makes it important for you to try out this digital keyboard. You get a 16 track built-in sequencer for recording your musical ideas. You get an excellent set of accompaniments and ample digital effects. Another interesting feature is the MP3 playback and USB audio recording that lets you play your music and store it on any portable USB device.
All of this comes at a fair price of around $1750 so you do get the most value for your money, considering that this is a professional keyboard. You can easily use it for performing as a one man band. Though, it may be a little expensive, the outstanding sound quality and long list of features make the Yamaha PSR S910 Arranger Workstation Keyboard an excellent buy.
