The Power of Genuine Intelligence
A genuine intellect comes from using common and abstract sense correctly in the real world. This article honestly and absolutely reveals the genuine concepts of genuine intelligence, and the use of it. Sure genuine intelligence is genuinely measurable, it is not measured by Intelligence Quotient tests in schools, colleges and the like. It is measured by how well you live in the practical real world that uses common sense or honest knowledge about how to genuinely live and abstract sense or creativity in living. To use another word for abstract sense and creativity in living, we can call it intuition. Intuition is simply anchored creativity and abstract sense, that is it and I will take the rest of this article to explain my concept of common sense or honest knowledge and abstract sense or intuition.
To have a balanced and genuine approach to life, intuition and honest knowledge must be balanced with each other, as there is a left brain and a right brain in most of our heads. Indeed, intelligence quotient numbers are really nothing without those realities of a balanced approach to life no matter how high the intelligence quotient numbers are. Sure book knowledge and comprehensive memorizing of knowledge without internalizing it is one thing, but genuine intelligence or a real balance of common sense and abstract sense is entirely another. Being able to live practically and honestly is the reality of the situation and what counts in real life and in the real and genuine world. Many people who score well on intelligence quotient tests who try to get by in the real world on their knowledge which is not internalized, but just memorized so they can pass tests and get good grades find disappointment because they have the knowledge but they cannot apply it to anything creatively or practically except to get more degrees, grades and intelligence quotient scores. Thus, we see the phenomena of "overachieving losers".
This is not a treatise against "normal learning" and school degrees, they can be great things if internalized and used in the real world creatively. But, this is a treatise against just memorizing and passing tests for the sake of memorizing and passing tests of any sort unless they are of practical value in the real world. Genuine creative thinking is always of more value than just rote memorizing. Genuine creativity is using your intuition combined with your common sense or real knowledge about the world and existence.
If just book learning and rote memorization worked like real world common sense knowledge in an unbalanced way as is taught in schools, the school systems of America would not be breaking down like they are today. But there does need to be a fundamental change in the way people learn and in the total school system, and this will sound radical, but I do know deeply that the grading system should be done away with to foster genuine real world practical intelligence and genuine creativity and intuition balances to really make things work productively at a very deep level. What I mean is, genuine knowledge comes from genuine application. That is the reality of the situation, no other reality counts. That is the measure of genuine intelligence.
My name is Joshua Clayton, I am a freelance writer based in Inglewood, California. I also write under a few pen-names and aliases, but Joshua Clayton is my real name, and I write by that for the most part now. I am a philosophical writer and objective thinker and honest action taker.
I also work at a senior center in Gardena, California as my day job, among other things, but primarily I am a writer. As a kid I did construction work with my Dad which taught me many things like plumbing, hard labor and electrical systems, and I took notes for my Dad's home poker games at my Uncle Johnnie Gilmore's house, so I have a lot of life experience, sure. But I went to Cal State Dominguez Hills College, UCLA, and El Camino Junior College and learned a lot, but never got around to getting a degree, just lots of money spent, good grades and some credits. So, here I am currently freelance writing and working at a senior center for a living.
But enough details of my life, what I do is not what I am. So here is what I enjoy, I enjoy reading, listening to music (everything from Beetoven, Strauss and Bach to The Meters, ELO and The Band and Dylan/Garcia and The Grateful Dead also, when they were the Grateful Dead. Well, as you can tell by SOME of the music I listen to, I am a very eclectic person. I am also a deep science fiction fan and as said before, a lover of books. If I were to go into everything it would take thousands of words and I only have about three hundred words here, of which I have used 290 of already. Well, I end here. Thanks. Joshua Clayton.
