Frequently Asked Questions...
sample chopping/beat making?
Lets keep it plain and simple, I want to know what is a good simple program to chop samples and drum samples on where i can add effects, audacity, soundforge etc. not recycle. and secondly a good program to make complete beats on that is simple and not complicated or too expensive I dont need fl or reason etc, I have money but I am a REAL HIP HOP fan, alchemist, premier, muggs, RZA etc, and just want to do this for fun. I dont care if the program comes with instruments or not, I want to make my own drums and samples/instruments, but in case i do buy drums it needs to be aiff, wav, or audio cd compatible, im also planning to use an akai mpd with it. I wanted to buy a mp2000xl or 2500 but seems to much for a hobby im just beggining, so all opinions and suggestions will be respected and appreciated. simply put, I want to chop and lay my s**t down, thanks, peace.
Answer:
Well I think that if you're looking to make some beats the best way to do it is with Dubturbo,
As my friend Jaxx say:
"After trying every piece of software under 200 Dollar, and spending so much time reading the manual and trying to make something, I found Dub Turbo, the difference between it and any other software in its price range is that it can make such a high quality music, and it works in virtually all platforms – PC / Mac / iPad / iPhone etc.."
