Rackmount Case

Computer Screens, LCD's And Today's Monitors
The rackmount LCD monitor is a very rugged type of monitor. It’s built for industrial uses but there are reasons why some people select these types of PC’s for home use as well. They are built to last and cope with rather difficult conditions. The other purpose is to save space in areas where a desktop PC just won’t work. They are typically used in server rooms and businesses where people need to stand and work.
Isn’t it exciting to consider the many different options we have regarding what we look at when working with our computers or even better, when we’re being entertained?
Remember when computers were connected to tiny little screens about the size of a toaster? The screens were small but the casing was huge. Depending on your budget you can get a computer screen or monitor up to 64 inches if you hook it up to a TV. Or, if space and budget is an issue, the iPad comes in very small sizes and can pretty much go anywhere.
Does it always boil down to size? I mean, does size really matter? Well, sometimes there are more important things to look over than size.
When you are in the market for a new monitor, you’ll want to consider a few things like the space, warranty, and what type of conditions it will be enduring. The price will probably help narrow down your choices.
Regarding the Warranty
Often times a small company will purchase an off the shelf desk-top computer and monitor to suit their small business needs. These generally come with a six month to one year warranty. After that time expires you must pay out of pocket for repairs. While that amount of time may seem ok, it is important to note that consumer monitors are not intended for commercial use, and using one in such a way could void any warranty associated with the purchase.
This is something to look into before purchasing a computer and monitor for your business. On the other hand, industrial monitors come with a three year advance replacement warranty. So if something does go wrong you will have the equipment needed to carry on in your work.
Enduring Harsh Conditions
New-age industrial monitors can eliminate the need for peripherals like the common mouse, keyboard, or VDU’s. This is because they utilize touch-screen technology. This allows for a less cluttered work station.
This is why they are considered some of the most rugged computer screens available on the market. While durability is vital in the workplace, it is also nice for home environments that may have less than thoughtful humans with accident prone personalities.
Being able to move an industrial monitor is a great advantage it holds over its bulkier desk-top cousin. Because the industrial monitor contains all the computer components it can be located almost any place it is needed, space is not a big issue. If necessary it can be moved to another location with relative ease.
Choices? Again with the choices!
Well, let’s just talk about what choices we really have in today’s monitor market. Ipods, iPads, iPhones and notebooks are some of the smaller choices. Rackmounts, panel mounts and widescreen TV’s are the choices for larger screens. Pretty much what you can afford and what you can fit are your choices when it comes to computer screens.
