Dynamics GP Integration with Legacy Systems: Oracle, Lotus, ODBC, Excel, MS Access
Well, if you are deploying Great Plains Dynamics for mid-market organization as your new Corporate ERP, we recommend you to think about other parts of your IT infrastructure. This infrastructure might have such legacy applications as MySQL/PHP Linux hosted website, Oracle custom application, Lotus Notes Domino, Unix user interface, or you name it. Nowadays Corporate ERP market is very tough and competition is driving the price of the user licenses down. Great Plains is not an exception. Our recommendation is to keep your current infrastructure and apply phases or better to say evolutionary approach. Dynamics GP has its mid-market rich ERP business logic, this logic requires professional consultant touch. We recommend you to retrain from the steps, where you feel that you are introducing something revolutionary. Let's review the paragraphs:
1. Trying to keep the conservative approach. Microsoft Dynamics GP (former Great Plains Dynamics and Enterprise) is open with its integrating tools, we have to mention here Integration Manager, eConnect, Dexterity. Microsoft Visual Studio Tools (VST)
