OPPO BDP-95 Universal Blu-ray DVD Player - A Quick Look
The BDP-95 is now available to pre-order at the Oppo website. Priced at $999.00, this new flagship universal audiophile player is loaded with great features and should be considered one of the best Blu-ray Players being released for 2011. The model is very similar to Oppo's recently released BDP-93 and has the same playback platform. But there are some important changes as well, including a different chassis and many new audio enhancements. Such as a dedicated stereo output, a toroidal power supply, a XLR balanced stereo outputs and the SABRE32 Reference audio DACs.
The BDP-95 is equipped with the ESS Technology's Sabre32 Reference 8-channel Audio DAC (ES9018). Regarded as the worlds best performing 32-bit audio Digital-to-analog converter, it is found on most high-end consumer applications and professional stereo devices. Delivering the highest possible level in performance, the SABRE32 Reference DAC uses the ESS patented 32-bit Hyperstream™ DAC design and Time Domain Jitter Eliminator for exceptional DNR (Dynamic Range) of up to 135dB and THD+N (Total Harmonic Distortion plus Noise) of -120dB.
If this was not enough, the BDP-95 uses two ES9018 DAC chips. One is for the 7.1 channel output, while the second is for a dedicated stereo output. A dedicated 2-channel analog output is featured in this model that optimizes the ES9018 DAC and output driving stages. Each output has 4 DAC channels arranged together to produce a superior audio performance.
Being a universal Blu-ray Player, the BDP-95 can handle anything you want to throw at it. Such as 3D Blu-ray, Blu-ray, DVD audio, DVD, SACD or Super Audio CD, Kodak Picture CD, HDCD, AVCHD, DivX, FLAC, WAV, MKV and MP4. This Blu-ray model, like the BDP-93, uses the Marvell's Kyoto-G2 video processor with the second generation Qdeo™ technology. Producing clear, crisp 1080p images and True 24p video.
The Oppo BDP-95 is equipped with an Ethernet RJ45 port and wireless-N adapter for your internet connection. Has access to Online Streaming Media Services from Netflix and Blockbuster on Demand. And has dual HDMI 1.4 Outputs, along with USB ports, a eSATA port and a RS232 control port. As stated earlier the BDP-95 can be per-ordered from the official Oppo website. It should be ready to ship sometime in late February or March of 2011.

Frequently Asked Questions...
8 channel mixer 8 in x 8 out?
Does a 8 xlr input by 8 xlr output mixing board exist and where could i get one without spending a fortune?
Answer:
What are you trying to do? Do you need 8 independent mixes? If so, what you need is called a "matrix mixer" and they do exist but you will have to spend a fortune. If you just need 8 outputs with the same mix, any 8 input mixer can do that. Just send the output of the mixer to an audio distribution amp.
Great 8 input mixer:

That mixer can do at least 4 independent output mixes but not 8. Remember that audio outputs can be split using a simple cable. You can get many outputs from that mixer as long as they don't need to be separate mixes.
